- Time: 5pm – 6pm
- You can join the room / meeting from 4:45pm
This is a meeting where society committees and members can come and discuss any matters that may impact societies, get feedback from society members, etc. All society members can and are encouraged to attend these meetings.
In this forum, we’ll be electing members of the Societies Executive Committee for the 2026/27 Academic Year, which will be made up of 4 Society Committee Members and 4 Society Members. This will be a key group to be involved into make sure your voices as societies are heard, discuss important matters, and to bring any issues or feedback to the table
As a reminder, the committee’s remit includes:
- Discussion of issues and campaigns relevant to the remit of the Committee.
- Review and discussion of feedback and data related to activities relevant to the remit of the Committee.
- Voting on decisions regarding funding allocation and creation of new groups.
- Preparing reports for discussion and scrutiny at meetings of the Student Council.
- Selection of an Executive Committee representative who shall be a member of, and attend meetings of, the Student Council. There will be three Executive Committee representatives in total, one from each Executive Committee.
- Fill vacancies on the relevant Executive when necessary.
- Organise open forum meetings of all members to discuss matters, if felt necessary by the committee.

- 8th October 2026
- 19th November 2026
- 11th February 2027
- 1st March 2027
If you wish to run for the Societies Executive Committee, you will express your interest in the meeting and then will have 1 minute to talk about why you want to be on the committee before a vote is held. We would also appreciate it if you can share this opportunity with your society members for them to attend the forum as well, and run for a position if they wished.
