Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism education charity which works to challenge racism through providing education and empowering individuals to challenge racist behaviour within communities, organisations, and sports, in order to dismantle racism in society.
The campaign, titled “Wear Red Day”, will take place across campus during the week commencing 12th October. Sports Clubs will be providing promotional support on social media, having conversations with their committee facilitated by the charity’s educational material online, or fundraising during the campaign. All participating clubs will choose one of their training sessions to wear red in support of the campaign. We are encouraging all Sports Union clubs to join us in raising awareness for this important cause.
We're keen to ensure our members have as much information as possible when considering attending Union events so we're trialling new accessibility descriptors to help try to outline considerations you may have. These will be displayed on our event platform as tags (see below) - the information below explains in more detail what each of these means.
