An awareness session raising some of the things online that can impact our children and young people.
A 16 Days Discussion: This session will look at the increase of extremist misogyny and the role of various media driving this forward. We will also look to better understand dangerous online spaces, the manosphere, and the risk these spaces pose to children and young people.
The Students’ Union is taking part in 16 days of Activism from 25th November to 10th December. The Global 16 Days Campaign is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from the 25th of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to the 10th of December, International Human Rights Day. We mark this period to both remember those lives lost due to gender-based violence, and to demand a safer and fairer society.
